Tuesday, July 6 - DC and MT. Vernon

We took a tour of the Capitol building (Congress was not in session).  We also got these reservations through Mom’s Congressman. 

After lunch we drove to Mt Vernon.

Then back to the mall to visit some monuments, including the Lincoln Memorial, and the memorials for Vietnam, Korea, and World War II.
